Channels Membership Community Standards

Our Commitment to Excellence

Because Channels integrate directly with Scripture and reach people across cultures and languages, these standards ensure clear expectations and consistent application. This creates a space where biblical truth is communicated with clarity, gentleness, and respect.

We recognize that faithful Christians hold diverse views on theological matters while united on the Gospel. As a technology platform, we do not endorse specific doctrinal positions beyond our Statement of Faith, and we do not arbitrate theological disputes.

Channel Content Essentials

As a Channels Member, you agree to the following commitments:

1. Biblical Foundation

Your Channel content must:

2. Content Responsibility

  • You are responsible for all content submitted to the ethnē app through your Channel

  • You and your network are fully responsible for the quality, doctrine, and accuracy of this content

  • You must provide written documentation that you have permission to publish the content from the individual or organization who created it

  • Content Directed at Children - At this time, we do not permit content specifically created for or directed at children under 13. All content should be designed for adult or general audiences.

3. Cultural Sensitivity & Legal Compliance

Your content must:

  • Abide by the laws of the language community it's intended for

  • Avoid political topics - do not mention political parties, political philosophies, or call for political action

  • Maintain religious respect - Present Christ with clarity and love rather than comparing or contrasting different ideological systems or religions

4. Tone of Communication

"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." - 1 Peter 3:15

All content must:

  • Use gentleness and respect toward others

  • Present truth in love

  • Honor the dignity of all people as image-bearers of God

5. Sharing and Ownership

  • Unless you notify us in writing otherwise, you grant ethnē permission to share your Channel with other people who may benefit from your ministry's content

  • You retain ownership of your content while allowing distribution through the ethnē platform

6. Financial Policies

  • There is a monthly cost per Channel based on usage and your ministry budget

  • Most tiers have an additional one-time cost for each additional media file uploaded

7. Prohibited Content

For both legal protection and community safety, the following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic material

  • Violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm or harm to others

  • Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or other protected characteristics

  • Harassment, bullying, or threats

  • False or misleading health/medical claims that could cause harm

  • Copyright or intellectual property infringement

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination depending on severity. We reserve the right to take immediate action when content poses danger or legal risk.

8. Cancellation and Termination

  • Refund and cancellation policy details will be provided at time of payment. In short, you may cancel your Channel membership at any time and for any reason by notifying us in writing. At that point your Channel will no longer be available in the ethnē app.

    • If your role or ministry needs change, we'd love to discuss alternatives to cancellation so you can continue serving your Channel subscribers.

  • The Discipleship Platform, LLC reserves the right to terminate a Channel membership that does not abide by these community standards or otherwise compromises the platform's integrity and mission. Should this become necessary, we will provide written notice and explanation, along with an opportunity to resolve concerns when appropriate.
